Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Sickle Cell Association of Ontario.
The Sickle Cell Association of Ontario’s (SCAO) offerings and activities are open to everyone interested in supporting the sickle cell community and helping us achieve our mission. Our activities are supported by volunteers and the financial support we receive through fundraising events, memberships dues, and donations. As a member of SCAO, you’ll not only help us to continue to support the community and share information, experience, and knowledge, but you’ll also gain the following benefits:
- Participation in the governance of the Association by voting at the Annual General Meeting
- Member discount at our charity store
- Member pricing for our events
The Association has five classes of membership. These are as follows;
- Individual: Open to anyone age 25 and over
- Youth: Open to youths age 24 and younger
- Family: Open to a family of 4 members, maximum of 2 adults included
- Corporate: Open to other organizations and companies
- Affiliate: Open to organizations who support the mission of the Association by providing support services to individuals living with Sickle Cell Disease
