About the Event
The Children’s Aid Society of Toronto hopes to strengthen partnerships with community organizations to provide culturally safe, anti-oppressive, and trauma informed support to African Canadian families, children and youth.
Leaning on the African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child”, CAS of Toronto is committed to using its clinical framework, centering African Canadian families’ experiences, with respectful engagement being core principles.
Additionally, the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto is keeping with their vision to work in partnership to create a city where children are safe, families are strong, and communities are supported. Moreover, we are working to address the disparities in child welfare services to African Canadian families’ children and youth they are working with.
There is strength, richness and resilience in the African Canadian community and the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto hopes to strengthen existing relationships and seek out grassroots organizations to form a caring circle of support for African Canadian families, children and youth.
The Children’s Aid Society of Toronto value your presence and your support to the African Canadian Community, let’s get together to form a Circle of Support.
