On Sunday, May 6th, the Sickle Cell Association of Ontario’s team of fundraisers joined a group of other charities to raise funds for their respective organizations and funds for scholarships administered by the Jamaican Canadian Association.

After partaking in a healthy breakfast and completing a group warm up, Jamaican style.  The participants had the option of completing either a 5K walk/run or 10K walk/run.  The Association was proud to find out that our fundraising team member, Jaden Boyd took first place in the 10K course.  J.R. Dash from our partner Black Health Alliance’s team took the second place prize for the 10K walk/run.
